Tour Description :

In the morning, explore the farmers’ market in Aix-en-Provence - on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday - and taste some olives, tapenade or olive oil on a piece of crusty baguette, get some goat cheese or grab a piece of nougat on the way. Of course, you will also taste the famous candy of Aix-en-Provence, made with almonds and candied fruits: the Calisson, a tradition that dates back to the 15th Century!

You'll have lunch in a beautiful winery and a wine tasting at your convenience, before of after lunch. A picnic lunch with food from the market is also possible of course.
Afterwards, you will taste wines produced with organic grapes under the AOC Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the three colors: white and red of course and the very famous rosé of Provence.

We keep going North to the mountain range of Luberon, the perfect area if you love nature and countryside where we will visit one of the most beautiful villages of France, Lourmarin, where Peter Mayle, author of the best seller « A year in Provence » had a house. It is a very charming village built around its « Castellas » and its old church, with tiny streets and picturesque houses. In front of the village stands one of the most beautiful Renaissance castle of the Luberon built in the 15th and 16th Century.

The program is flexible and we can also stop at a goat farm for a goat cheese tasting (upon availability). Not only they have goats, but also pigs, ducks, dogs and cats you will be able to pet. You will leave the place knowing everything about goat cheese!

Another option is to plan a vist to a famous Chocolaterie, one of the best in Provence, and discover the making process of chocolate and calissons. You’ll end the tour with a wonderful tasting.
