This trip will allow you to explore the Provencal coast east of Marseille. You have doubtless heard about Cassis and this little town deserves its high reputation.
The location is fantastic, with high cliffs on both sides, terraced vineyards and a picturesque Provencal fishing port. A Mediterranean poscard for sure! This is also one of the gates to enter the Calanques National Park. We highly recommend you to have a short boat ride to see a few of these spectacular inlets such as Port Miou, Port Pin and En Vau, the most beautibul among all the inlets between Cassis and Marseille.
Next your tour will take you to the hilltop village of le Castellet dominating a wide valley full of vineyards and olive trees. This is the place where the Bandol wine is produced. You'll love strolling along the narrow streets of the village flanked by Provencal houses and little shops selling specialties. You'll end in - or start with - the adorable Sanary, another coloful fishing port with traditional wooden boats that are for some of them more than 100 years old.
